In the Christmas excitement, it appears I forgot to do a post for 2024!

It’ll soon be time to get the display out of storage for 2025, but here are some pictures from last year to set the mood….

It’s December again!

We have a new song for 2023, The Polar Express. I’ve also upgraded the train, including a light up carriage and ‘reindeer transport’ to help Santa on his way. This years display is dedicated to the memory of Jonathon Fernyhough, with extra train appearances just for him.

The last week of Autunm term 2022 is here once more, and after a busy weekend of unboxing snowmen and unraveling meters of cables, the display is up and running!

The display is back in its usual place this year in reception, and runs from 8AM till 6PM Weekdays.

December is nearly here again, and it’s the last week of term, which can only mean one thing – it’s time for the CS Christmas Lights!

The display is back in its usual place this year in reception, and runs from 8AM till 6PM Weekdays. Due to other work commitments, there wasn’t a live switch on this year, but I’ll try and do a live stream before Christmas.

Well what a year 2020 has been….. but the Christmas Lights are back to bring some festive cheer! The display is a little different this year, and instead of being in reception they will be live streamed to the internet.

From the 2nd December we will be going live daily from 4.30pm till 5.00pm, with the last show on the 24th December. If we are live, the show should appear below:

The display was officially switched on Monday 2nd December with mulled wine and Christmas carols. The show runs from 9AM till 6PM Weekdays, the last show this year will be on Monday 23rd December.

So it turns out I forgot to post for the 2017 lights display, which is a shame as it was a good un!

The lights were dedicated to the late Dr Alan Wood, with a festive rendition of “All around my hat” by Steeleye Span. If you didn’t get to see them, check out the video on YouTube. I’ll try and do better this year and post updates on the web as well as Twitter/Facebook 🙂
